Underground installations often reduce wireless range due to dirt, rock, concrete walls, and sealed lids. However, with a typical range of up to 1 km, the Long Range PTLevel is designed to perform reliably in these conditions.

Engineered specifically for underground cisterns and tanks, our system continues to improve through ongoing testing and design enhancements. In real-world testing, our antenna has achieved ranges of over 2 km in lightly forested environments.

Harsh Air Quality and Liquids

The PTLevel transmitter is rated IP65, making it weather-resistant (not waterproof) and capable of handling humid and harsh environments. For accurate readings, the transmitter must be installed where it can measure atmospheric pressure and should not be placed in a fully sealed tank.

Just power the device, follow the step-by-step setup in the app, connect the tubing to the pressure chamber, and lower it into the liquid. It’s a straightforward process that most users can complete in minutes.

Things that can reduce the range include: heavy electrical equipment, cements walls and ceilings, metal structures like vehicles and buildings.

To achieve the longest range possible:

• install above grade where possible

• don’t park vehicles between the Receiver and Transmitter

• install the Receiver in a high location (eg upstairs of the house to get the best signal range to the transmitter)
